Keep it dry
Paper covers don't love moisture. For a spill, blot it right away with a dry cloth.

Store them flat
Keep them flat and dry between events so the board stays straight and the corners stay crisp.
iii.
Keep them out of the sun
Store them away from direct sunlight so the watercolor stays true.
